Doctor squinted on one eye darting around and saw endless desert dunes. She opened the other eye and saw the night sky filled with million stars and as she lowered her gaze saw the Tardis in the distance, far away. 

 

"My ghost monument" she whispered. 

 

"Hello Doctor" a voice startled her, and she turned around. The woman standing behind her looked pale, blue dress torn and dirty, dark circles underneath her eyes and she was barely standing. 

 

"Stars!" Doctor jumped "What happened.... whaaaa?" She ran up and woman slumped into her arms "What happened?" she palmed her face as panic swept through her. 

 

"Did you miss me?" She smiled faintly. 

 

Doctor closed her eyes and exhaled "Oooh stars, Do you have to ask" she said with tears in her eyes. 

 

"I missed you too...soo much..." she raised her hand and Doctor grabbed it tight. 

 

"What is going ooon? You're sick?....You're..." 

 

"Dying" she replied "We haven't got much time...I can't keep this for much longer" she said. 

 

"You're gonna be fine...I promise...Whatever this is I'll fix it...just hold on in there" Doctor laced their fingers together and energy started swirling around them. 

 

Suddenly she found herself inside the Tardis. It was all wonky and looked like the mashed up version of itself through time, but there was something else which shocked the Doctor to the core. Dark red sticky substance covered the walls and the floor dripping from the ceiling and the pillars. As she stepped inside her boots got glued in it like into mud. 

 

"Ewwwww....What a mess?" She frowned discussed lifting her foot of the floor "That's gross..." 

 

She bend down and scanned the strange thing with a sonic "Alien life form...I read about this...You're a rapid growing nasty parasite..." the stuff dropped on her shoulder "Oh noo...whyyy on my coat?...I just washed it yesterday" she walked over to the console but every single part of it was covered in the sticky mess. She shook her head in disbelief. 

 

"You poor thing...it's been literally feeding off you until it reached the core...It must have latched on to you whilst we travelled. This is why you landed us… you knew what will happen but you were already too ill, infected" she stroke the console gently "I'm so sorry...I didn't know...If only I...." she exhaled "Let’s get you better old girl. And I know exactly how to get rid of this thing...You're gonna be better in no time.... I promise" 

 

She flew inside her lab and started picking up glass bottles, tubes and pots. Then opened the old cabinet filled with dusty jars "Let's see...I’m sure I have all I need...I really need to do deep cleaning one of these days" she sneezed at the cloud of dust "Maybe when the baby is born...I'll have time" she moved all the junk off the table and cleared up space to work "Right...let's get cooking..." 

 

An hour later strange liquid was brewing in one of the bottles and she hunched over watching it passing through the glass tube then dripping into another container "Perfect" she smiled. 

 

"Got it!" She grinned haply showing the tiny bottle as she hopped back to the control room "This may tickle a bit...but you're gonna be like new in no time" she said as she opened one of the hatches on the console and poured it inside. 

 

The Tardis hummed and the floor shook, the parasite started retracting and slowly losing its dark red color turning into dark green then almost black. 

"It's working" she smiled watching it slowly rotting away and turning into dust. The engine roared and lights came up then suddenly Idris appeared Infront of her. 

 

"Heeey" Doctor smiled "You look better...I love the new look" she smiled. 

 

"Not bad yourself" she chuckled "Thank you." 

 

"Oh, don't mention it..." she scrunched her face and waived her hand "Thanks for landing us in time.” 

 

"Don't mention it" she giggled. 

 

"I'm sorry...I didn't know..." 

 

"It's invisible to the naked eye in your world Doctor, it's not your fault" 

 

"So I suppose last month and a half..." Doctor pouted 

 

"Noooo...I think universe is kinda fond of this timeline...things will be pretty much the same...at least for you lot." 

 

"Oh...that's good" she flashed a smile "...Cause I'd hate to be the only one who remembered" 

 

"I can take it from here Doctor. It's time for you to leave now. I think someone needs you more than I do." 

 

"What do you mean?...." she frowned and Idris smiled  back at her 

 

"Ooooooh....oooh....Wooooow" she wobbled shocked 

 

"Yeah" she giggled "See you soon Doctor." 

"See you soon" A single flash and Doctor was gone. But she didn't end up where she was supposed to. 

 

"What?" She turned around confused, looking at the white walls and a massive security door "I'm in a volt? Oh, you gotta be kidding me...Why am I in a volt? " she checked the vortex manipulator "UNIT? Yaz will have a meltdown." 

 

"Hands up!" Security guard yelled pointing a gun at her. 

 

"Arrrr...this is a huge misunderstanding...I'm sort of confused myself..." she said over her shoulder. 

 

"Hands up...don't move." 

 

"Well, I have to move if I'm gonna put my hands up...make up your mind.” 

 

"Put your hands up!" he yelled again

 

"If you just let me reach into my pocket, I can explain everything...." 

 

Suddenly the person behind her pushed her into the wall squishing her face against the tiles "Oi!!...Let go...Listen mister...I lost my Tardis and me wife is having a baby which makes me extremely cranky right now...if you don't...." 

 

"Doc?" another person said further away. 

 

"Graham?" She frowned. 

 

"What are you doing here?" 

 

"Getting arrested apparently." 

 

"Hey, let her go...she's with the UNIT, what's wrong with you " he pulled the man off her. 

 

"But I thought???" 

 

"Didn't you get the memo?...She's here to inspect the volt." 

 

"Oh sorry...I thought..." 

 

"Go on...get out of here.” 

 

"Bully!" She remarked fixing her coat as the man left. 

 

"Doc... may I ask what the hell are you doing in a UNIT volt?" he frowned "And where's Ryan?" 

 

"Babilon..." 

 

"What?" 

 

"Oh, he's fine...don't worry...minor inconvenience .... you know...the usual, Tardis exploded we got stuck in Babilon...My vortex manipulator seemed to have glitched though...I always said it was cheap and nasty...and this just proves my point...I have to get back cause Yaz is having a baby...And you? New job? She smiled tapping his shoulder "I did send that email to Kate not so long ago." 

 

He stared at her in disbelief. This was weird even for her. 

 

"Part time...yes..." he replied, a bit lost for words. 

 

"Right....it was nice seeing you...I gotta go or Yaz is gonna flip her lid on me...I'll call you." 

 

"Yeah...you do that Doc" he frowned, and she flashed away. 

 

She was back in the kitchen. But the house seemed empty, and she now wondered if she had landed in the right place, or better, the right time. Then she heard voices from upstairs. She ran up and smashed into Ryan. 

 

"Doctor! You're back...Yaz...baby is coming." 

 

"Right...yes baby...I know" she shook her head "Graham says hi by the way." 

 

"What?" He frowned. 

 

"Doctor...!" Hakim says surprised to see her as he walked up the stairs carrying a bunch of clean towels "You're back." 

 

"Yeah...back...just now" she said quickly "Got arrested...almost..." she squirmed "I ended up in volt." 

 

"What?" Ryan frowned "Aren't you gonna go inside?" He asked, confused, pointing to the bedroom door. 

 

"Yeah...I really should, shouldn't I... baby" She answered confused and quickly collected herself bursting through the door. 

 

"Is she alright?" Ryan pointed. 

 

"Panic" Hakim chuckled "I missed the hospital when Nadja was giving birth." 

 

Yaz was holding on to Sonya walking around the room, following her mother's advice. Her contractions were now more frequent and scaring her more by the minute. Between all three of them, neither had any idea how to deliver the baby and she was trying not to panic. 

 

"Doctor...."Nadjia exhaled as she saw her by the door "Thank god." 

 

"Babe!" Yaz jumped exited "You're back." 

 

"Of course, I'm back...stars Yaz, when?" She rushed over and closed her arms around her kissing the side of her head "You alright?" 

 

"I am now when you're here" she huddled up as the stress she felt quickly disappeared from her. 

 

"It started as soon as you left" Nadjia said. 

 

"How long was I gone?" 

 

"Three hours" Sonya said "We started to worry if you'd even come back." 

 

"You're gonna be fine Yaz...I promise" she smiled kissing her forehead "Right...I'll need..." 

 

"We got everything" Sonya pointed to the bucket with water, towels, and kitchen scissors. Doctor gulped trying not to panic. 

 

“What’s with the Tardis?” Yaz looked at her panicky

 

“Yeah…about that…” she squirmed.

 

Suddenly she could hear the most beautiful sound she could possibly imagine and exhaled as the weight of the universe lifted off her shoulders. 

 

"Tardis!" Yaz smiled as the blue box slowly appeared in the corner of the room. 

 

"Told you I won't let you down" Doctor smiled as if she knew, the truth was, she was relieved like never before in her life. 

 

"Right...everyone, get into the Tardis" Doctor yelled then turned to Yaz with the softest smile "Let's go home." 

 

"Yeaaaah..." she nodded with a smile "Let's go." 

 

With her help, she slowly got up and wobbled through the door. Tardis hummed and turned lights pink as soon as she stepped inside 

 

"Hello beautiful...missed ya" Yaz smiled. 

 

..... 

 

"It's been 6 hours" Ryan signed worriedly looking at his phone 

 

They've been sitting on a hallway floor in front of the infirmary playing cards whilst Sonya and Nadjia were inside. "Men not allowed" is all they both got from the Doctor before she slammed the door into their face and that's the last they've seen any of them. 

 

"Babies take time" Hakim said. 

 

"She's not screaming...I thought they scream when they give birth." 

 

"Ryan...this is Tardis not Tower of London." 

 

Suddenly the door opened, and they both jumped to their feet. 

 

"Could you bring some juice please" Sonya smiled peaking from the door "She's thirsty?" 

 

"Oh...yeah sure" Ryan frowned "What's going on?" 

 

"She's crowning" she smiled happily. 

 

"What?" 

 

"You know...when you can see the baby’s head from...you know...down there." 

 

"Oh..."his eyes widened, and he shook his head "I'll get you juice.” 

 

"Thank yoooou" she giggled and closed the door. 

 

.... 

 

"You're doing well Yaz...I can really see her now" Doctor grinned. 

 

"You can?" She looked down "What does she look like?" 

 

"Dunno Yaz...I can just see the head" Doctor frowned. 

 

"You two are match made in heaven" Sonya laughed. 

 

"Come on Yaz...just little bit more darling" Doctor said "Just...give me one more push.” 

 

"You said that last time" she whined rolling her head over the pillow. 

 

"I knoooow I did come on darling the contraction is coming up...just one more I promise...come on deep breath." 

 

"You promised before" she whined and took a breath. 

 

"That's it Yaz...you're doing it...8,9,10...gold star Yaz...come on honey...one more..." 

 

She pushed as hard as she could. 

 

"You're doing great Yaz!...keep going...keep it up" 

 

She exhaled "You keep it up...I feel so dizzy" she moaned.

 

"On a positive side Yaz, you're almost there" she smiled "One more Yaz." 

 

"You're doing great sweetheart...don't stop" Nadjia smiled. 

 

She exhaled slumping to the pillow. 

 

"One more time darling...you're doing really well...I'm so proud of you" Doctor said 

 

She was tired and dizzy but at least she wasn't in pain. She took one more deep breath 

 

"Come on...Yaz!" Sonya encouraged peaking over Doctor's shoulder "She's almost here Yaz...I can see her" 

 

"That's it Yaz...she's coming darling...don't stop...that's it...I got her" she yelled "Stars Yaz...I got her" she smiled and watched in complete disbelief a baby in her hands "Hiii!" The Doctor said with a massive smile "Waaaw...I see you..." 

 

"OMG Yaz...you did it!!...She’s here Yaz!!" Sonya cheered. 

 

Yaz exhaled with a smile as her mother kissed her forehead. “You were perfect sweetheart...I love you." 

 

"I love you too mum." 

 

"She's perfect" Doctor said placing the baby on Yaz's chest. But she had no time to really take in the moment as she still had to attend to the baby. A loud cry echoed through the room. 

 

"OMG" Yaz pressed her to her chest "Hey beautiful.” 

 

"Hello" Doctor whispered touching tiny fingers "Welcome to the world munchkin" she smiled "Remember me?" 

 

"Hey" Yaz pulled her in and popped the kiss to her lips "You're a mum" she smiled. 

 

"Am I?" She smiled back.

 

"Mmmm" she nodded stroking her face. 

 

"Does it suit me?" 

 

"Yeees" she chuckled. 

 

"Stars Yaz...she's so beautiful" she looked down. 

 

"She's stunning" Yaz whimpered, and tears rolled down her face as her mind still struggled to understand she was holding her. 

 

"We're still not done..." Doctor stroke her cheek "…placenta and..." 

 

"Alright baby...I know" she smiled and pulled her for another kiss. 

 

"I just have to..." Doctor was about to say something to Nadjia but she just grabbed her braces pulling her in for a hug "C'mere you alien mess" she smiled "Congratulations honey." 

 

"I'm so excited" she trembled "I have to sort out the baby and Yaz and..." 

 

"Congratulations Doctor!" Sonya glued herself on her back hugging her 

 

"I feel bit wobble...I’m all fizzing inside and I'm so excited..." she said frazzled. 

 

"Go..." Nadjia nodded "You're doing amazing job.”  

 

Both Nadjia and Sonya huddled kissing Yaz and going gaga over the baby. 

 

"You made a little human" Sonya chuckled. 

 

"Well, not really" she laughed "Half human.” 

 

The door of the infirmary opened up and both Ryan and Hakim jumped to their feet. 

 

"She's here" Nadjia smiled. 

 

"Yeeees!!!" Hakim yelled exited. 

 

"OMG! " Ryan's eyes opened wide "You're a grandma...and you're a grandpa...and" 

 

"Yes, Ryan we are" she laughed 

 

Now you're gonna be able to see her soon just give them a little bit more time. 

 

..... 

 

Yaz was tired, it was late, and she was exhausted. Half dazed, she realized she was in their bedroom and that Doctor was gently caressing her forehead. The last thing she remembered was being cold and falling asleep. She was finally warm, but her body felt like it was floating somewhere. She vaguely felt the Doctor's lips on her hair and heard her voice from somewhere far away. 

 

"Sleep beautiful...I love you more than the universe" whispered the Doctor. 

 

She looked at the baby wrapped up sleeping on Yaz's chest, her brain still desperately trying to accept it was hers. She caressed her little fingers and thought to herself how was it possible that she had made something so perfect. A tear rolled down Doctor's face and she quickly wiped it away, then ran her finger ever so gently over her tiny head. 

 

Door opened up slowly and Nadjia peaked inside. 

smiling. "How are they?" 

 

"Both sleeping" Doctor said with a wobbling bottom lip 

 

"Are you ok honey?" 

 

"Nooo" Doctor looked up to her, eyes filled with tears "I'm a mess...She's mine." 

 

"She is..all yours" Nadjia smiled 

 

"She's so perfect" Doctor whispered. 

 

"She is beautiful" 

 

"It's amazing...my hearts feel like they will explode...I don't know what to do with all the feelings”

 

"I know...it's overwhelming, isn't it?" 

 

Nadjia sat on a chair next to the bed. 

 

"I'm scared and happy at the same time." 

 

"It's all normal honey I was petrified...you will get used to it" Najia stroke her face gently "You'll see you're gonna be a great mum." 

 

Nadjia gently stroke the baby with her finger then took her daughters hand and kissed her fingers "She was so scared without you. She said she won't have it until you came back. You are my daughter’s whole world Doctor" Nadjia looked at her "I don't think I relased that till today." 

 

"And she is mine." 

 

"I can see that" she looked at her gently "I'm gonna leave you two alone...have some rest, Doctor. You need to sleep. It's ok to sleep...and go hold your baby. You've been running around so much today you didn't even get to hold your child properly. 

 

"I will" 

 

"Call me if you need me.” 

 

"Thank you" 

 

"No need to thank me for that...go get some rest Doctor." 

 

She got up and quietly walked out of the room. 

The Doctor took off her boots and climbed on the bed lying next to both of them and was afraid to fall asleep. With her head on the pillow, she was watching them, both feeling like she was placed in some other world from which she was afraid to wake up. She felt all the pain inside her replaced by love for that tiny creature that was so deeply asleep and so unaware of how much she was loved.

The Doctor looked at her little face which she had dreamed about for a year, wondering what she would look like, and it was more beautiful than she could have ever imagined. Her soft olive skin and tiny nose, beautiful long eyelashes which hid those eyes that were like galaxies in the sky. Tiny particles of orange haze continued to shine through her skin and every now and then a small part would fly into the air soaking into the ceiling of the Tardis which hummed its welcome each time.

The Doctor didn't notice when she fell asleep with her head on the pillow and her hand draped over the baby's back, gently running her thumb between the tiny shoulders. 

 

"Baby" Yaz said with a faint voice. 

 

"Uh Yes...God Yaz I'm so sorry I fell asleep" Doctor opened her eyes petrified.

 

"Shhh...It's ok darling..." Yaz reached over and stroke her face "I'm glad you had a nap." 

 

"Are you alright? Do you need anything? Are you in pain?" The Doctor got up frazzled. 

 

"Hey...hey" Yaz grabbed her hand. She was still weak and her eyes sleepy "Calm down babe...take a deep breath. We are both fine...I just need some water that's all." 

 

"Right...yes, water coming up...Very cold or mild or..." 

 

Yaz giggled "Any water will do...just plain Tardis tap water." 

 

"Right ..." Doctor zoomed to the bathroom and Yaz smiled how cutely frazzled she was. Then looked down and ran her finger gently over the babies cheek smiling "Hi there beautiful...sorry I need to move you a little" she wiggled trying to sit up. 

 

"Nooo...Yaz goodness let me help you" Doctor ran out of the bathroom leaving the glass on a side table and pulled her up placing one more pillow behind her back. Yaz frowned a little as she was being moved. 

 

"Pain?" Doctor asked with mixture of worry and panic in her eyes. 

 

"A little like small contractions...I'm sure I'll be fine in few days.... it’s all a bit battered down there" 

 

"I'm so sorry Yaz...I really am... I can give you another shot" 

 

"Stop it silly" Yaz pulled her hand "It's all a part of it...I'm not the only one you know. Besides she's all worth it" she looked at the baby still sound asleep. Still latched to her breast and not letting go. 

 

"Yaz...I'm so lost" Doctor said giving her a glass. 

 

"You're perfect...and I wouldn't have you any other way" she took a sip of water and gave her back the glass "I want you to hold her, but she won't let go" she giggled looking down. 

 

Doctor stroke her little, tiny head ever so gently with just one finger 

 

"You can cuddle her babe, she's not that fragile." 

 

"I feel like I will break her Yaz" Doctor looked at Yaz completely lost. 

 

"Don't be silly" she brought her hand to Doctor's cheek "I love you so much...so, so much.” 

 

Another tear rolled down the Doctor's cheek. She found herself unable to control any of her emotions that were running wild inside her, having uncontrollable urge to cry all the time. 

 

"There are no words in this universe to tell you how much I love you both Yaz" Doctor kissed her knuckles. 

 

"You're fine...Everything is going to be fine my love" Yaz said gently "Aaa...here we go" she looked down "Finally she let it go...wanna hold her?" 

 

"God's Yaz" Doctor said confused. 

 

"You know you want to" she giggled. 

 

"I do I do...yes" Doctor was standing next to bed trembling. 

 

"Come on..." Yaz moved the baby trying not to wake her and slowly placed her in the Doctor's arms. She saw the Doctor's hands shake and then she looked at her with a wide smile. Her eyes desperately held back the tears. 

 

"Oh Yaz" she looked down and the baby made a few soft noises, rubbed her tiny hands over her face, then settled into her arms and fell asleep again. The Doctor was afraid to move or do anything. 

 

"You can breathe babe" Yaz giggled and moved making herself a bit more comfortable. 

 

"Yaz...we made this." 

 

"I know, go figure" Yaz laughed "Not bad for a hot mess, ha?" 

 

"No, not at all" Doctor smiled and slowly relaxed starting to rock her in her arms walking around the room. 

 

"Relax babe.... you delivered her for god sake." 

 

"That was different...Now I'm just back to being a hot mess Yaz" she grinned. 

 

"You're gonna be fine...Well you're gonna be in charge of nappies for few days so get used to handling her quite a bit." 

 

"I can't wait...Najia said she's gonna show me everything...I have no idea what we would do without her Yaz...it's been centuries since I've done that." 

 

"I know she's so chuffed" Yaz lifted the sheet and peaked underneath. 

 

"What's wrong?...is everything ok" Doctor asked worried 

 

"Yes silly...just looking...seems strange. It all seems strange…my body. I don't remember you moving me...or anything...washing me" she smiled "Wait...you did that right?" 

 

"Whaaa? Yes of course...Blimey Yaz" 

 

"Just checking" she giggled. 

 

"I had to sedate you, just a little bit. Just so you're not in pain and comfortable. Not every day a human gives birth to little Time Lord...It also helps with healing...of you know everything." 

 

"I still have a tummy?" 

 

"You will for a while darling...all the muscles and uterus needs to go back in place. It can take six weeks." 

 

"I didn't expect that" she giggled. 

 

"Sorry I should've explained that.” 

 

"Stop saying sorry all the time...it's fine I just didn't expect that...Not sure what I was expecting to be honest...Seems so wired having her here now, after carrying her for a year.” 

 

"She's so beautiful..." Doctor said smiling "Her skin is so soft. And she smells of popcorn" she grinned. 

 

Yaz laughed "She does...she has your hair." 

 

"She has your skin" Doctor smiled. 

 

"Neah not completely...she's a perfect mixture of you and me." 

 

"Perfect Yaz...and her eyes..." 

 

"Where did those eyes come from?" 

 

"I don't know...I'm very confused with them...I think it's artron energy, everything that happened with the Tardis." 

 

"Little star baby" Yaz giggled. 

 

"She is...she's holding galaxies in those eyes" Doctor slowly bend over and pressed her lips to the tiny head and felt one more tear roll down her cheek. 

 

"I'm so tired" Yaz looked at her completely exhausted struggling to keep her eyes open. 

 

"Wait darling I'll help you...I just don't know" she looked at her confused. 

 

"Put her in a bassinet...she's gonna be fine.” 

 

"Sure?" 

 

"Yeah silly...she's right there next to us." 

 

"Alright" she said worriedly and slowly put the baby down, who didn't seem to have a care in a world "Aaa look Yaz" Doctor points to orange haze "It's still settling.... she’s gonna sleep for a while I think...It's important she's not disturbed until it all settles...all those tiny cells reformatting." 

 

"She's glowing like you" Yaz smiled "Come lie next to me. It's late, you should sleep as well. you know" 

 

"I'm not sure Yaz...I" 

 

"Babe please...take your clothes off and come lie next to me. Relax...it's all fine, you did everything perfectly and now you need to sleep as well. We both need to." 

 

"I suppose you're right." 

 

"I am right" she smiled. 

 

Doctor reluctantly took her clothes off and helped Yaz lie back down then slipped under the covers. 

 

"You can cuddle me you know" Yaz smiled. 

 

"I wasn't sure...I" 

 

"Your silly sod...If I ever needed that cuddle it's now" she moved a little. She was still in pain, but she moved to her side and laid her head on Doctor's chest tracing rainbow lines of her T-shirt with her finger 

 

Tardis dimmed the lights and Doctor gently ran her fingers down Yaz's arm. 

 

"Yaz" 

 

"Mmmm?" 

 

"You gave me the whole world today." 

 

"We made that world together" she smiled and looked up and Doctor took her lips into hers ever so gently. 

 

... 

 

Baby crying woke them up and Doctor jumped like Tardis was on fire. 

 

"Yaz...she's crying?" she zoomed her sonic over her and scrunched her face. 

 

"She's probably wet or hungry" Yaz said lifting herself up to sit on the bed. 

 

"What do I do?" Doctor shrugged hunched over the bassinet. 

 

Yaz giggled "Pick her up and change the nappy babe." 

 

"Right..." she looked up "Can I have some light please" she spoke to Tardis and lights came up just a bit. Then she picked her up like she was made of glass and took her to the nursery "Oh stars...here we go...this is it...I need you to help me with this" she placed her on a changing table and turned left then right confused not sure what to do first 

 

"You alright there?" Yaz giggled 

 

"I think so" she grabbed the clean nappy then started to undress her pulling the snap buttons off "I should be fine I watched a YouTube video." 

 

"You watched YouTube?" She laughed. 

 

"Yeah...I had to Yaz" she peaked from the door. 

 

"Don't leave her on a table babe, she can fall" Yaz waived her hand 

 

"Shoot!!" she ran back into the room "Sorry...sorry...I'm a hot mess...But I'm good in a tight spot...And I learn fast...So I think we should be fine.” 

 

"Are you talking to her or to me" Yaz asked laughing. 

 

"Her..." Doctor shouted "Which way is front?" She waived the nappy 

 

"Towards you" 

 

"Oh...yeah...ok...I got it.” 

 

It seemed utterly surreal for her seeing the Doctor in a situation like this. Here was a woman who disarmed armies, battled monsters and saved galaxies losing a fight with a nappy. 

But she found it amazing and cute at the same time. 

 

"Ok...Yaaaz...I don't think she peed...it doesn't look like it.” 

 

"Well change it now when you're at it" 

 

"Mmmm..." Doctor nodded "There's something else...I know there's something else...aaaaa yes...silly old brains" she grabbed the cream from the table "I'm old I'm sorry...I know I don't look it but trust me I am" she put the new nappy on and put all her clothes back on then stopped for a moment and looked her beautiful blue eyes roaming around the room and tiny hands and feet moving around. "Can you be any more perfect" she brushed her finger over her cheek "Right...let's get you to your mummy. 

 

"Hey...look at you two" Yaz smiled "You did it babe...your first nappy change" 

 

"I did, didn't I" she smiled "Yaz she's so beautiful." 

 

"She is...give, give" she held her arms out "I think she's hungry...I Don't really know babe" 

 

"We'll figure it out I guess." 

 

Yaz put her on her chest and baby started suckling straight away. "BINGO!!" Doctor smiled

 

"Ok...we got this.” 

 

"Yaz? Are you alright?" Doctor looked at her worried. 

 

"No" Yaz looked up to her started crying "I can't get over this...I love her so much.” 

 

"Goodness Yaz you nearly had me regenerate...Hey don't cry...I know..." she leaned over and kissed her gently rubbing her thumb over her cheek "I adore her...and you Yasmin Khan.” 

 

"I think she fell asleep" Yaz said into her lips and they both looked down "I will ever so gently try and move her" she whispered. 

 

"Yap...got it" she took her slowly and put her back into the bassinet. 

 

"Blimey all that fuss for two minutes of feeding" Doctor said going back to bed. 

 

"I know..."Yaz giggled and snuggled back into her arms "I hope that's it for tonight." 

 

"I doubt it Yaz" she ran her fingers through her hair.
