Chapter 11
"Doctor...where do I put these?" Di yells holding two engine parts in her hand
Doctor emerges from the ship peaking her head out of the door. "Oh, those are broken Di, just leave them out there...I'll store them on Tardis...I might repair them at some point"
"Alright...Have you seen Dan anywhere?"
"No...ask Yaz...them two are always glued together"
"Thanks..."
"Jack...can you hold this for a second please" she's pointing at the two wires sticking out of the console of the ship she just pulled out
"Yeah sure" Jack grabs hold of the wires
"Just hold them like that...I need to check this thing" she pulls out more wires out and fiddles with them for few seconds "Alright that will do...let's see now" she connects them together
"Aaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!" Jack get snaped with power
"Ups!! Sorry" she runs over "Well that don't seem to work"
"No kidding" he let's go of the wires rubbing his hand in pain "So... you know what I will ask?"
"No not really Jack...my powers are limited in that area"
"I didn't mean...never mind" he rolls his eyes and smiles "You and Yaz? Love honeymooning? What's going on? "
"Nothing...nothing is going on Jack...what would be going on" she pushes him aside passing by and keeps fiddling with the ships wiring
"Oh come on...don't do that"
"Do what? What are you going on about?"
"Stop playing stupid...How long have you been together?"
"Not long...Why do you need to know everything all the time...More so...why do I keep telling you everything all the time?"
"Oh I don't know...I'm your best friend" he smiles cheeky ripping some plate of the wall and looking inside the whole of the ship "So what's wrong with Tardis?"
"Oh I don't know...you know something is always wrong with Tardis Jack" she twists her face
"Lier" he starts laughing
"Oi...Did you just call me a lior Jack?" she jumps looking at him
He stands up and looks back at her pointing a finger at her smiling "You are lying through your teeth...There's nothing wrong with Tardis...She may buy it but I know you"
"Hey...don't you dare saying anything to her" she goes into his face
"Oh don't worry...my lips are sealed " he throws imaginary keys behind him laughing "What are you playing at? Go on tell me...I know there's a plan...there's a method in your madness always"
"I'm waiting for spring that's all"
"Doctor!...Stop that...what's the plaaaan?"
"Oh alright then..." she shrugs her shoulders "I heard a story about this place when I was younger...long time ago...There is place on this planet on the other side. A cave with a lake inside. Once in 10 000 years a water appears in a cave..."
"Doctor!!!!!" Yaz calls from the outside
"I'll tell you later Jack..." she runs out
"Yes Yaz?"
"Can you please come to the Tardis for a second"
"Sure" she jumps down to the snow and grabs Yaz's hand "What's wrong?"
"I picked up some really strange readings from Tardis...I'm worried I just want you to look at them"
"Strange?....How strange from 1-10?"
""Oh like 9 strange"
"Alright...well we better hurry up then" she pick up the pace
Doctor comes to the console and looks around all the screens "Oh that's bad...that's really baaad Yaz"
"What is that anomaly there"
"Oh Yaz we need to get that ship up and running...this is bad"
"I hate when you do that WHAT'S BAAAD?"
"We will have another avalanche"
"Whaaat?"
"Oh yes and by Tardis calculations in less then 48h. We need to get out of here...all of us Yaz"
"How?? You haven't even repaired their ship
..Tardis is not working...did I miss something?"
"Well we need to improvise Yaz...I think we could possibly get ship repaired in 12 hours iff we really push it I think we can...In fact I'm sure of it...at least 70%...well 50% no doubt"
"Mmmm....yap that's really reassuring"
Few hours into the day and Doctor was still struggling with the ship but she was getting there.
"Dan get those wires inside and Graham I thin we can close that now"
"Alright Doc" he closes the little opening in a floor of the ship
"Doctor"
"Yes Yaz"
"How do I do this?" she's pointing at the dashboard
"Oh, sorry yes...just turn that thing left and you will be able to close it"
"Done!" Yaz closes it and turns around but the whole room turns around her and she stumbles
"Yaz!! You alright? " Dan jumps to hold her
"Yeah...I don't know what that was"
Doctor runs up to her "What's wrong?"
"She almost fell down" Dan looks at Doctor worrying
Doctor takes her sonic and shines into her eyes and measures her pulse "What happened Yaz?"
"I dunno just room turned around...I felt so dizzy...and I just.." she slumps off her feet unconscious Doctor and Dan catching her a minute before was about to fall on a floor
"Yaz!!!...Yaz look at me" a voice came from the distance and she opened her eyes laing on a floor of the ship and seeing Doctor panicked face above her
"What happened?" she asks with a weak voice
"I don't know Yaz you just collapsed on a floor. This can't be happening...Come on...let's get you to the Tardis. I need to run some test to see what's going on"
"No..no...you go on repair this ship I'll be fine. I think I just need to eat something"
"Yaz no..not happening...come on"
"Doctor please we need to get out of here I'll be fine...please finish the ship please
"Don't worry I'll get her to the Tardis, you finish this ok" Dan looks at the Doctor nodding his head "Don't worry...she's be fine"
"You alright Yaz" Graham puts his hand on her shoulder concerned
"I'm fine, I'm fine stop fussing over me" she looks at the Doctor straight to her eyes "Really...I'm fine"
"I'll be there in one hour " Doctor replies looking back at her worried
She goes with Dan leaving Doctor completely panicking. She just wanted to finish the job and get going. Suddenly the ground starts shaking and everyone held up to whatever they could grab on to.
"It started...the ground is unstable...we need to be faster" she looks at everyone worried
"Come on let's get this baby in the air" Jack continues welding
"Doc I'm done here"
"Good job Graham...well I think we're pretty much done
Few minutes into it she was running around doing last minute checks before she fired up the engines
"Right let's see how we did...ready fam?"
"Ready Doc"
"Yap" Ryan replied "Ready"
She presses the massive around button on a console and ship fired up like a smooth engine
"Wooooohooo!!!!!!" she jumped of the floor
"Alright!!!!! We got it!!! Rock and roll man!!" Ryan yells
"Well let's get the little family on board and let's all get out of here "
As she said it the ground shook again "Aaaaa...yah...let's do that now...like fast!!"
They get the family on board
"Thank you so so much...and I'm so sorry about taking your ship"
"Nah... all forgotten...travel safe...oh and get in touch sometimes. I might need some parts myself sometime" she smiles
"Will do Doctor" a little man smiles and closes the door of the ship
Everyone pulled back towards the cave when the engine started and they took off safely
"Well that was a good job fam...I missed this" Doctor turns smiling tears everyone
But the ground started shaking so much it almost threw everyone on a floor
"We need to go now...to the Tardis everyone" she starts running
She runs inside and started flipping the switches running around the console.
"I thought you said she's not working?" Ryan asks confused
"Oh, well some parts" she winks at him and pulls the lever a second before the avalanche started
They landed on the other side of the planet. She runs to open the door and steps out into the frozen forest like something out of fairytale.
"Now isn't this beautiful?... Look!!!"
She runs back inside and sees Yaz is waiting for her confused but Doctor reached for her hand "You alright? How do you feel?"
"Better...Tardis?" she points her finger towards the console confused but Doctor just pulled her out by the hand
"Come on have a look...you'll love it" she smiles stepping outside
"I swear I'll kill you myself one day" Yaz smiled and shook her head but she went with her
Doctor stood behind her and wrapping her hands around her and placing her head on her shoulder "Isn't it beautiful?"
"It is...it's amazing...love you liar" she whispers and laughs
Doctor squeezed her thither and kissed her cheek

Everyone gathered for their last evening sitting around the fireplace.
"What a day...it's never boarding with you Doctor even on a holiday" Dan chuckles
"Nope...it's not is it...well good news is there's no Daleks or Cyberman here...not that I know of"
"Oh please don't say it twice Doc...knowing you're luck they'll be here tomorrow "
Doctor was slumped on a sofa and Yaz made herself comfortable leaning on her chest holding her hand
"I wish all of you could stay longer...I really miss you all" Yaz says pouting her lips
"Me too...I really miss my fam"
"Well I don't miss Cyberman" Ryan comments and Doctor through a pillow on him
"I give you Cyberman...you had a best time of your life travelling with me" Doctor laughs
"I must say I enjoyed the most seeing you laugh like this Doc"
"That's sweet...I wish I have a reason to laugh more often Graham"
"Alright Doc I'm off to bed. Tomorrow is our last day...Ryan you too" Graham moves him trying to give them some privacy
Everyone soon left to sleep, and they stayed alone. Yaz moved herself comfortable laying herself on Doctors chest listening to her hearts and playing with the rim of her coat
"Part of me wants them to stay and really miss them so much. And part of me wants to be alone with you again. Is that bad?" Yaz looks up at the Doctor
She hugs her thither and kisses her head "No it's not. I feel the same. I miss them so much but I also miss having just you and me alone again...I think we need that alone so much more than we need anything else"
"It's only been 9 days since we got here. Do you actually realize that? It seems so much longer"
"I know...it does" she goes quite..."Yaz"
"Mmmm?"
"I really wanted that stone..."
"What stone? What are you talking about?"
"The Keystone...that was my plan..."
Yaz looks up to her "Whaaat?"
Doctor pushes her head back down on her chest, it gave her comfort "I'm sorry"
"For what?"
"It was never meant to be like this...I had it all planned...It was right there in my reach and then it all went wrong...It's why I said those things that day. I was just" she sighs "It broke me...It was my answer to everything...it was meant to resolve everything Yaz...freeze life in time" she kisses the top of her head and runs fingers through her hair pressing her harder to her chest a tear rolls down her face
Yaz looks up to her "Hey...don't...don't do that"
"Do what? What am I doing?"
She half sits up on a sofa and tucks her hair behind her ear and then reaches out to wipe her tears gently stroking her face.
"Stop blaming yourself for something you couldn't control. Stop doing that." she strokes her cheek gently "You can't do everything...no-one can...you're just doing the best that you can same as everyone else..."
"But I.." she wanted to say something, but Yaz cuts her off
"No... stop!!" she sits up puts her hand on her cheek "You're smart...really smart...I believe in you...you said it yourself…. you will find a way. Ok? I know you..." she lays her hand on her hearts "And I know what's in here..."
"Yah...what's in there?" Doctor slowly changes her mood
"All your love for me" Yaz smiles
Doctor runs her thumb over her soft lips and her fingers find their way to the back of her neck slowly pulling her in, until their lips slightly touched
"They beat for you" she whispers and kisses her passionately
